Something Kinda Vintage Wedding Fair – and relax!

Diary of A Wedding Planner

Wow, what a fabulous day we’ve had at the something Kinda Vintage wedding fair here in Swansea – the first vintage wedding fair in this little bit of Wales and such a brilliant turn out!

Firstly we’d like to say a big well done to the wonderful people at Something Kinda Cute for their success in organising today’s fair – let’s hope it becomes a regular event because it really was rather marvellous… Well planned, excellently produced and run without a single hitch, plus a huge number of visitors through the door due to their expert marketing and promotion. Really fantastic – thank you for all your hard work and enthusiasm running this superb wedding fair.

We met lots of lovely new couples today, all excited/nervous/giddy about their big day, and we really do hope to be working with many of them soon as they all came across as such lovely people, full of ideas and anticipation about planning their big day. It was wonderful to meet you all!

We also had the pleasure of meeting some fantastic suppliers from the South and West Wales region, and hope to be able to work with them very soon. Plus we caught up with some of our favourite friends within the industry – how lovely it was to see everyone doing so well at today’s fair, and thank you to our friends and current couples for popping along to say hello!

Later this week we will be announcing the lucky winners of our competition held at the stand today to win an ‘Oh So Supportive – On The Day Coordination’ package, so do stay posted for the big announcement to follow!

Now the day is over, I can sit down and smile, thinking about how well the day went. Here are some photos we took at the fair to share with you…

It was a bit damp when we arrived, but the sun was soon shining at the Brangwyn Hall

Here I am on the Oh So Perfect stand in my vintage finest!

Cup of tea – always a priority at Perfect HQ!

Our vintaged-styled suitcase display got lots of attention from visitors who adored looking at the old photos, especially when I explained the stories behind them…

I love having fresh flowers on my stall, they always look and smell so beautiful – A quick pick-me-up on a busy day!

Our lovely friends at Pretty Flamingo were on hand to help with vintage-style makeovers.

There were lots of exhibitors displaying genuine vintage dresses and accessories, as well as vintage-inspired items…

And lots of sweet treats… it’s a wonder I stayed at our stand!

We met up with an old friend from Paper Wedding on the stand next to ours, it was so lovely to see Sarah after all these years!…

How incredible are these cakes by Heavenly Choc?! Absolutely amazing to look at, and their taster white chocolate and raspberry cake pieces were so yummy!

Oh and of course I managed to sneak in a bit of shopping too… Here are my shoes before I went to the fair…

And here they are when I got home! I bought these fab little clip on shoe bows from Pretty Neat Feet to add to my shoes to accesorize different outfits… Yes, yes, I know they’re mix-match but don’t worry I bought both in a set of two, I just couldn’t resist showing you both styles!

With love
Samantha x
