Carmarthenshire National Welsh Wedding Fayre

Diary of a Wedding Planner

Today we exhibited at the Carmarthenshire County Showground for the ‘West Wales’ National Welsh Wedding Fayre.

It was wonderfully busy with lots of VIP guests entering with a champagne reception, plus plenty of other visitors that had come not only from West Wales but from right down the M4 corridor too. There were plenty of exhibitors with a whole range of products and services on display, each with beautifully presented stands and displays. Two fashion shows (which we were lucky enough to be positioned with a prime viewing spot!) and Debenhams goodie bags – fab!

We met lots of lovely couples, as ever, plus smiley happy brides and their mothers or friends, taking in ideas, information and inspiration. I’m very excited about some of the couples I met today on the stand – we’re going to be working on some very beautiful weddings very soon and I simply can not wait to find out more about them!

I also had the chance to put some faces to names within the industry, and meet lots of lovely new wedding pros all dedicated to making the wedding industry in South and West Wales one of the best in the UK.

Here are some snaps from my phone of today’s Oh So Perfect stand, plus some cheeky little instagram pics from my day in Carmarthen…

Our vintage suitcase styling was popular as ever, bringing in lots of people who were inspired by the look.

Our new leaflets got their first public outing!

It was also the first outing of my gorgeous Pretti Perfect cute jute! Not just cute, but very useful too…

As usual we had fresh flowers on display – I love fresh flowers they’re an instant pick-up when I start to feel tired. If I can’t get fresh flowers, I’ll take along a scented candle instead.

I always take the full vase of flowers home to enjoy in my house after the fair…

… but the little flower snippets from the tea cups end up in the bin which is such a shame – I hate throwing fresh flowers away. Today I made a small exception and snuck a few home in my hair!

Our signature-style vintage tea cups held the Oh So Perfect business cards on display.

And one of my favourite cake-makers in Wales was there today with their incredible scrumptious cakes on display. I may have sneaked a few cheeky pieces over to my stand when no-one was looking… yummy raspbery and white chocolate mmmm…

With love,
Samantha x
