Sarah and Rob One Year On – and a little video to celebrate

My, my how time does fly! It’s been a whole year since we assisted the gorgeous Sarah and Rob Knott with their wedding on Gower, on a scorching summer’s day hitting almost 30C outside their marquee. We hope they’re enjoying the heat this year for their first anniversary too!

We’d like to wish this lovely pair a very happy first anniversary, and thought we would celebrate today by sharing Aurora Video’s incredible film of Sarah and Rob’s wedding to enjoy for yourselves as well. It really is just stunning, I’m sure you’ll agree…

Annie & Humphrey – Testimonial

Oh So Honest – Client Testimonial

We were delighted to receive such a beautifully written thank you email from our Oxfordshire ‘English Country Garden’ couple, Annie and Humphrey, following their recent honeymoon, so much so we’d like to share it with you too…

“Hello Samantha,

We are back from honeymoon and would just like to say thank you so, so much for all your incredible hard work towards our wedding. It was such a wonderful, jewel of a day that ran like clockwork and we really couldn’t have done it without you. You were an absolute star! Everyone has said to us how brilliant you were at keeping things running smoothly. You worked so incredibly hard, in particular over the actual wedding day period, doing such long days. And babysitting my nephew the evening before the wedding was beyond the call of duty!

Thank you also for the sweet card you left for us in the car – a lovely touch!

Please stay in touch and we hope the rest of your summer’s weddings go as well as ours!

Lots of love,
Annie and Humphrey”

What a lovely couple, and such a lovely wedding too, we were very proud to call it an Oh So Perfect wedding as it really was just divine. To view all the photos from the wedding in our portfolio for yourself, just click this link.

Annie and Humphrey ~ English Country Garden

Oh So Perfect – Wedding and Event Portfolio

Annie and Humphrey were married in a beautiful ceremony in All Saints Church, Woolstone, Oxfordshire on Saturday 8th June 2013, with a reception held in the gardens of the bride’s grandmother’s cottage home.

Oh So Perfect were delighted to assist with the full planning, set up, break down and on the day coordination of this stunning celebration.

Drinks and speeches were held on the lawn amongst the flower beds, before moving through the orchard into the main marquee for the Marquee Ex A&H (6)

Oh So Perfect’s wedding planner Samantha designed and created this gorgeous vintage table plan using an old suitcase Annie had found in the cottage, belonging to her grandfather.

We worked closely with Annie and Humphrey sharing ideas for theme and design, and Annie kept a scrapbook of ideas which she loved for the wedding. Together we were able to style a divine vintage-style wedding using lots of pieces found around the cottage such as old books, vases and knick-knacks.

These beautiful flowers were put togtether by the very talented Wessex Flowers, who assisted with the styling of the displays and centrepieces. The flowers were simply gorgeous!

How lovely to have a little photobooth set amongst the trees!

It wouldn’t be an Oh So Perfect wedding without an Oh So Perfect pompom! Annie had seen examples of our hand made wedding pompoms in our portfolio and asked us to dot some around the orchard to spread some colour at this wedding also.

The marquee was supplied by County Marquees who did an excellent job using their traditional style

A friend of Annie and Humphrey’s kindly let them borrow meters and meters of exquisite hand-made bunting to use for the wedding. The white lanterns were supplied by County Marquees.

Each centrepiece symbolised something which the couple adored together, or a memory of something they had experienced as a couple – a place, a dish, a film, a book etc. The centrepieces were made up of either crates or bottles and jars filled with flowers from Wessex Flowers, adorned with knick-knacks, quotes and all sorts of items relating to the table’s specific theme.

Guests sat down to tapas already set out on the tables, followed by a delicious dinner of roast beef, which the guests were invited to carve for the themselves, all supplied and served by Crown Catering – yummy!

Dreams to Reality supplied the stationery on the day, whilst Becky Lord Design assisted in custom designing invitations and thank you cards for the bicycle biscuit favours.

Guests enjoyed a delectable rose and pistachio cake from the London Review of Books cafe at the end of the Cake A&H (1)

Oh So Perfect were absolutely thrilled with the feedback and kind comments from guests on the night – the wedding was simply divine and a pleasure to be involved in. We wish all the best to our gorgeous couple, Annie and Humphrey!

Star Letter in Your South Wales Wedding Magazine!

Diary of a Wedding Planner

Samantha ImbimboSo, as some of you regular blog followers may know, I’m going to be a bridesmaid in December (sans clipboard!) and you real avid blog fans you’ll also know that I appeared giving my expert advice in the May/June issue of Your South Wales Wedding magazine.

Well, a sneaky bride by the name of Victoria Price has only gone and got me featured in the July/Aug issue again, this time with a snap of me trying on my blue bridesmaid dress a few weeks back in the garden! It’s only gone and made the ‘Star Letter’ too!

Now then, if the cheeky madam had warned me of her plans I might have at least made a little effort to style my hair before hand, but nooo – you can imagine my surprise when I opened my latest issue and spotted it in there!

So, if you haven’t seen it yourself already, go out now and grab your July/August copy of Your South Wales Wedding magazine to see me in all my bridesmaid – ahem – glory.

Favours for Favours

Diary of a Wedding Planner

Last Wednesday I found myself off on a jolly little bike ride to Bristol.

I say ‘bike ride’ but, actually, I went in the car. A car ride… to Bristol… for bikes.

Bike biscuits.

Last Wednesday I found myself on a jolly little car ride to Bristol for bike biscuits!

At Oh So Perfect we offer a fab little pay as you go service called ‘Oh So Helpful – As and When’ to lend a little helping hand to couples as and when they need it.

You don’t need to have booked another package with us already to take advantage of this service, you may well be planning and coordinating your wedding completely without our assistance, but sometimes in those last few days and weeks of pulling everything together, you may find yourself with a little less time on your side than you’d hoped for.

Oh So Helpful is a service designed exactly for that purpose – you can book our help by the hour to assist you with those last little bits you simply can’t find the time for by yourself, whether it be to:

  • help run a final few errands in those last few days
  • pick up something which may be a little drive away
  • making some phone calls or sending out some emails to chase up contact with your suppliers
  • lending an extra pair of hands to do some DIY dĂ©cor, stationery or a display on the day
  • or even if you need a little help a few months in advance running a supplier search
  • or any thing else!

Wednesday’s bride booked our Oh So Helpful – As and When service at the last moment when she realised that picking up those yummy biscuit favours for her guests herself would involve taking 3 hours out of her already very busy day to go and collect them from all the way across the border, but we were more than happy to embark on a little road trip to the Bristol-based bakery on her behalf to ensure that her guests had a little extra something special to enjoy after dinner on the wedding day.

A small favour that made a big difference to our bride’s time, although how we managed to get them all the way back to Swansea without gobbling one or two along the way, I’ll never know!

With love,
Samantha x

P.S. If you’re interested in our Oh So Helpful – As and When pay as you go hourly service, or any of our wedding planning and coordination packages in fact, then please do come and say hello at
