Jenny & Ben – Dairy Barns

Jenny married Ben in a beautiful Dairy Barn in North Norfolk, on Easter weekend 26th March 2016.

Oh So Perfect’s Samantha not only had the privilege of attending  and assisting this wedding, she also had the absolute honour of performing a very special role on the day – being a bridesmaid!

Despite being part of the main wedding party, Samantha’s ‘wedding coordinator hat’ couldn’t be completely left at home this weekend, and her pink clipboard perfectly complimented the pretty pale dress as she coordinated the day between sips of pink champagne.

On Good Friday, Samantha set to work primping and preening the beautifully selected wild flowers into rustic jars to form the centrepieces, whilst Oh So Perfect’s Daniel and the boys set to work in the barn draping home made bunting and hanging the ‘Bird Twitchers’table plan amongst the wooden eaves.

On the wedding day itself, Samantha had the pleasure of announcing the new Mr & Mrs into the wedding breakfast, before tucking in to bangers and mash, followed by apple crumble and custard – yum! There were also scrumptious dairy ice creams and sweet pancakes to be devoured!

OSP’s Daniel played a part in keeping the ceremony running smoothly and looking after the PA system too whilst Samantha flaffed with the wedding dress!

There was a real ‘all hands on deck’ feel to this wedding, with the wedding cake being baked by the bride’s friend, and one of the most professional homemade photo booths ever seen hidden upstairs!

Jen & Ben really did provide their guests with a most gorgeous day to be enjoyed by all… And it was a pleasure to be a part of it! X

Jennifer and Andrew ~ French Lavender in the Barn

Jennifer married Andrew in a beautiful ceremony at the Almonry Barn, Langport, Somerset on Friday 4th September 2015.

Guests, who had travelled all the way from Dublin and Australia, were spoiled throughout with a French-inspired, rustic afternoon in the barn, which the bride had styled and created with the help of Oh So Perfect and some wonderful suppliers along the way….

Sprigs of lavender accented glasses of champagne and cloudy lemon at the drinks reception, along with milk bottles filled with chocolate milk and purple straws, all served from vintage glass dispensers. The dining tables were loaded with rustic boards of antipasti as the guests took their seats, and a most glorious menu of beef, salmon and chicken satisfied guests’ appetites, complimented by a soundtrack of live Spanish Guitar and a French-cafe-style playlist.

The lawns were spread with vintage furniture sets and bird baths. Tall flowers stood proudly along the back wall of the ceremony, and throughout the dining tables. Sprigs of lavender tied with ribbon adorned the stationery on tables and the scent of rosemary filled the room from the bouquets.

The central focus of the room came in the form of an antique white dresser and vintage door backdrop, which groaned seductively with pretty china, delicious cakes, chocolate tarts, macarons and sweet kisses to make guests mouth water! Wicker hearts hung in trees in the orchard, birdcages filled with candles dotted each corner, and the bride had framed love quotes and French fancies placed prominently in every nook and cranny the barn had to offer.

The table plan was written by Oh So Perfect’s Samantha, on an antique mirror to match the style set out by the stationery, and guests left love notes and warm wishes on an old typewriter placed by a vintage writing desk.

The bride’s smile shone throughout the day, despite a slip the evening before the wedding rendering her foot bandaged and broken…. She was carried down the aisle by the groomsmen and her father, to the sound of the groom and best man softly singing to their classical guitars!

A most beautiful day, and much thanks to all the suppliers involved in creating something so very perfect. Oh So Perfect were delighted and honoured to assist Jennifer and Andrew with the partial planning, styling, personal support, and on the day coordination of a wedding so very divine… x

Charlotte & Nick ~ Elegant florals in the barn

Charlotte & Nick were married on Saturday 5th July 2014 in a church ceremony followed by an utterly divine wedding reception in Buckinghamshire.

The wedding breakfast barn on a listed farm property, was in every way filled to the rafters with fresh flowers; an abundance of different types of rose and peonies at various stages of blossom adorned tables littered with glassware, teacups, and hurricane vases and tall candelabras. Cherry blossom grew up the listed barn walls, and a cherry blossom tree offered guests a clue to where to sit.

Oh So Perfect were delighted to work with this beautiful family for a second time, and provided on the day coordination for the happy couple.

Henrietta & Craig – DIY Spring Barn Wedding

Henrietta married Craig in a sweet ceremony in Gloucestershire, on Friday 17th April 2015.

Following the ceremony, the bride and groom, and their guests, arrived at Prior’s Court Barn in Brockworth, to continue celebrations on into the afternoon and evening.

Henrietta and Craig took their theme to the extreme, creating a DIY wedding like no other. Not only did the bride and groom along with their team of hands-on-helpers, ushers and bridesmaids, decorate the barn from top to bottom with home made, hand made decorations, including everything from paper mâché hot air balloons, to hessian table runners; this incredibly talented bride even baked her own wedding cake, full dessert table of scones, tarts and brownies, and provided all the canapés on the day, whilst the groom provided guests with home made bottles of red wine ready on the tables for dinner.

For dinner, guests were provided with chef hats and aprons, and one designsted person per table was given fun instructions to carve and serve the delicious roast lamb to those sat around them.

Their guests didn’t exactly escape the DIY theme either, not only was the wedding breakfast a hands on celebration of food, fun and laughter, they were also invited to bring an array of sweet and savoury home baked delights to be judged in the wedding’s very own bake off competition that evening, and later on all the home cooked offerings were used for the evening buffet. The attendees were also invited to send back their best-kept-secret family recipes with their RSVPs which the happy couple had made into personalised cookbooks for the winners on the night.

Oh So Perfect were delighted and honoured to provide on the day coordination for this very hands-on, elegant affair. Congratulations Henrietta and Craig!
