Annie and Humphrey ~ English Country Garden

Oh So Perfect – Wedding and Event Portfolio

Annie and Humphrey were married in a beautiful ceremony in All Saints Church, Woolstone, Oxfordshire on Saturday 8th June 2013, with a reception held in the gardens of the bride’s grandmother’s cottage home.

Oh So Perfect were delighted to assist with the full planning, set up, break down and on the day coordination of this stunning celebration.

Drinks and speeches were held on the lawn amongst the flower beds, before moving through the orchard into the main marquee for the Marquee Ex A&H (6)

Oh So Perfect’s wedding planner Samantha designed and created this gorgeous vintage table plan using an old suitcase Annie had found in the cottage, belonging to her grandfather.

We worked closely with Annie and Humphrey sharing ideas for theme and design, and Annie kept a scrapbook of ideas which she loved for the wedding. Together we were able to style a divine vintage-style wedding using lots of pieces found around the cottage such as old books, vases and knick-knacks.

These beautiful flowers were put togtether by the very talented Wessex Flowers, who assisted with the styling of the displays and centrepieces. The flowers were simply gorgeous!

How lovely to have a little photobooth set amongst the trees!

It wouldn’t be an Oh So Perfect wedding without an Oh So Perfect pompom! Annie had seen examples of our hand made wedding pompoms in our portfolio and asked us to dot some around the orchard to spread some colour at this wedding also.

The marquee was supplied by County Marquees who did an excellent job using their traditional style

A friend of Annie and Humphrey’s kindly let them borrow meters and meters of exquisite hand-made bunting to use for the wedding. The white lanterns were supplied by County Marquees.

Each centrepiece symbolised something which the couple adored together, or a memory of something they had experienced as a couple – a place, a dish, a film, a book etc. The centrepieces were made up of either crates or bottles and jars filled with flowers from Wessex Flowers, adorned with knick-knacks, quotes and all sorts of items relating to the table’s specific theme.

Guests sat down to tapas already set out on the tables, followed by a delicious dinner of roast beef, which the guests were invited to carve for the themselves, all supplied and served by Crown Catering – yummy!

Dreams to Reality supplied the stationery on the day, whilst Becky Lord Design assisted in custom designing invitations and thank you cards for the bicycle biscuit favours.

Guests enjoyed a delectable rose and pistachio cake from the London Review of Books cafe at the end of the Cake A&H (1)

Oh So Perfect were absolutely thrilled with the feedback and kind comments from guests on the night – the wedding was simply divine and a pleasure to be involved in. We wish all the best to our gorgeous couple, Annie and Humphrey!

Emma and Andrew ~ Better Together

Oh So Perfect – Wedding and Event Portfolio

On Saturday 4th August 2012 Emma Borland married Andrew Morris in a bunting-filled wedding held at Broadway Country House in Laugharne, South Wales.Oh So Perfect were delighted to be involved in the overall design, set up and on the day coordination of Emma and Andy’s big day…

Oh So Perfect’s wedding coordinator Samantha and her assistant Christina set up the bunting which had been specially designed and created by Emma Bunting for this wedding, based on our wedding styling designs. Here we are setting up the bunting, pompoms and all the little pieces that went together to compliment the wedding theme…

We love being able to show our couples around the marquee before the guests enter for the wedding breakfast. Emma and Andy were over the moon with the overall look they had dreamed of – there were audible gasps of ‘wow’ as they entered for the big reveal!

And the finishing touches…

We used the name of Emma and Andrew’s first dance for the bunting on the top table…

The favours table consisted of jars of jams and chutneys for guests to take home, which had been made by the mother of the groom.

Oh So Perfect and Samantha would like to extend a huge thank you to our set up  assistants Christina and Mark, who did a fantastic job helping make Emma and Andrew’s dream wedding come to life. Also, thank you to Mark for taking such wonderful photos for our blog and portfolio. All photos credited to Mark Hawkins Photography.

“(Stop!) Oh yes, wait a minute Mister Postman!”

Diary of a Wedding Planner

I love that song. I also love the postman.

One of the exciting parts of being a wedding planner is waiting for the postman (DHL man, Parcel-force man, FedEx man etc. etc…)  He always brings me such exciting parcels full of beautiful and fabulous wedding related bits and bobs, what’s there not to be excited about?!

I saw so much of my previous postman (we moved Perfect HQ back in February) that he would even pop in and use my bathroom from time to time on his rounds!

A big parcel arrived at Oh So Perfect today containing 17 rolls of white, lilac and violet tissue paper that I’d ordered for part of one of my couple’s wedding styling. Hopefully mister postman will deliver my nylon wire tomorrow too so that I can get started having fun making lots of big paper floofs in preparation for their wedding next month…

I’ll be bringing you a little tutorial of our tissue paper pompom making when he does so stay posted!

With love
Samantha x
