Jennifer and Andrew ~ French Lavender in the Barn

Jennifer married Andrew in a beautiful ceremony at the Almonry Barn, Langport, Somerset on Friday 4th September 2015.

Guests, who had travelled all the way from Dublin and Australia, were spoiled throughout with a French-inspired, rustic afternoon in the barn, which the bride had styled and created with the help of Oh So Perfect and some wonderful suppliers along the way….

Sprigs of lavender accented glasses of champagne and cloudy lemon at the drinks reception, along with milk bottles filled with chocolate milk and purple straws, all served from vintage glass dispensers. The dining tables were loaded with rustic boards of antipasti as the guests took their seats, and a most glorious menu of beef, salmon and chicken satisfied guests’ appetites, complimented by a soundtrack of live Spanish Guitar and a French-cafe-style playlist.

The lawns were spread with vintage furniture sets and bird baths. Tall flowers stood proudly along the back wall of the ceremony, and throughout the dining tables. Sprigs of lavender tied with ribbon adorned the stationery on tables and the scent of rosemary filled the room from the bouquets.

The central focus of the room came in the form of an antique white dresser and vintage door backdrop, which groaned seductively with pretty china, delicious cakes, chocolate tarts, macarons and sweet kisses to make guests mouth water! Wicker hearts hung in trees in the orchard, birdcages filled with candles dotted each corner, and the bride had framed love quotes and French fancies placed prominently in every nook and cranny the barn had to offer.

The table plan was written by Oh So Perfect’s Samantha, on an antique mirror to match the style set out by the stationery, and guests left love notes and warm wishes on an old typewriter placed by a vintage writing desk.

The bride’s smile shone throughout the day, despite a slip the evening before the wedding rendering her foot bandaged and broken…. She was carried down the aisle by the groomsmen and her father, to the sound of the groom and best man softly singing to their classical guitars!

A most beautiful day, and much thanks to all the suppliers involved in creating something so very perfect. Oh So Perfect were delighted and honoured to assist Jennifer and Andrew with the partial planning, styling, personal support, and on the day coordination of a wedding so very divine… x

Anna & Jeremy ~ Suitcases and Canoes

Anna and Jeremy were married at St Cynog’s church, Boughrood on Saturday 15th August 2015, followed by a reception and wedding breakfast at Felin Newydd House, Llandefalle.

The theme of the wedding was elegant, rustic, with a hint of travel – a nod towards the many countries Anna and Jeremy have visited around the world together, both with work and leisure, and a tribute to their expat life in Grand Cayman.

Anna, Jeremy and Oh So Perfect’s wedding planner Samantha worked very closely together for several months to create and perfect the style of the day, pulling together ideas and designing feature displays which included vintage suitcases, rustic crates, flowers, candles and an old map of the world hosting the table plan.

Together we designed an outdoor breakout area, which centred around a rustic canoe and old whiskey barrels. During the day, the canoe was filled with beers from around the world for guests to enjoy at their leisure, and in the evening we converted this display into a feature whiskey, port and cigar bar.

Guests were given little bottles of cocktails at their tables, individually designed to match the country the table was named after, and handmade wooden napkin rings whittled and produced by the father of the groom were offered out as keepsakes. The wedding cake was lovingly made by a cousin of the bride.

There was a relaxed vibe to the whole day, with dinner and music, and a special treat performance of a brass quintet with the groom himself playing the tuba. The next day, guests rekindled on the grass outside Felin Newydd House for a hangover-hog roast, enjoyed by many!

Oh So Perfect were delighted to have assisted in the overall planning, styling and design, and weekend coordination of this beautiful wedding, working from people afar with our international couple based in Cayman for 9 months leading up to the big day….
Congratulations Anna and Jeremy! X

Katie and Owen ~ Champagne and White

Katie and Owen were married in a church service near their home town of Blackwood in Gwent on 25th July 2915. The couple entertained and welcomed guests in a large marquee reception on the ground of the groom’s family home following the ceremony.

Guests were treated to a champagne reception with string quartet, followed by a three course meal, band, marryoke and an utterly divine dessert table!

Oh So Perfect’s wedding planner Samantha was delighted to coordinate this beautiful day, with the help of her assistant Penny.
